At Paul The Computer Guy, we strive to be the most reliable, responsive and friendliest computer-support company serving Central Oregon. We service both PCs and Macs.
Businesses and home computer users rely on us daily to get them back to work — ASAP. We build long-lasting relationships with our clients, who consider us to be affordable and honest.
For our business clients, we provide on-site computer-repair service and network support, serving as an on-demand IT department. We keep our clients aware of new technology that can make an office operate more efficiently. Call us! We will adjust our schedule to make ourselves available to your business.
If you’re a home-computer user, you can either bring your computer to our shop or schedule a housecall. We offer in-depth phone consultations to help determine which option will best serve you, minimizing your cost and your time away from your computer.
For all of our clients, we explain the steps we’re taking in as much – or as little – detail as you want. We know that some computer users want to know that their CPU is a 3.0GHz Core 2 Duo; others just want to know that the darn thing works!
PAUL SPENCER, OWNER
Paul Spencer is the kind of guy who gets excited when PC World runs its annual review of Internet security software, or when the new Apple iMac uses an LED-backlit display with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
As a CompTIA-certified technician, Paul gets great satisfaction from solving thorny computer problems. When a screen freezes or an Internet connection goes on the fritz, Paul works tirelessly to find out why and get the system back up and running.
In addition to having an innate curiosity about and affinity for electronics, Paul brings to his business substantial experience as a software engineer for major corporations. Before starting his own company, Paul worked for 10 years in the aerospace industry, developing "mission-critical" software for companies such as Lockheed Martin, Litton, Rockwell and Teledyne Controls.
Paul does not, however, spend every waking hour in front of his computer. A member of Rotary International, he’s also a cross-country ski racer, runner, avid backpacker and amateur photographer. Paul lives in Bend, Oregon, with his wife, Suzanne Schlosberg, a professional writer who has no clue what LED backlighting is, and their twin sons, Toby and Ian.
Paul thinks the most stubborn computer problem is nothing compared to going up against twin 2-year-old boys whose favorite word is “no.”
SUSAN GALECKI, ASSOCIATE
If you call or stop by the shop, you may be greeted by Susan Galecki. Susan is a recent transplant from northern Colorado, where she operated her own computer-repair business. "It's not that I'm drawn to computers - they seem to be drawn to me," jokes Susan, who has more than 20 years of experience fixing computers. In her free time, Susan works as an artist, painting, making jewelry and working with glass. Ask her about it!
